Ibaraki Prefecture is located northeast of Tokyo, facing the Pacific Ocean. In Mito City, the prefectural capital, there is Kairakuen Garden, one of the three most famous gardens in Japan, where visitors can experience buildings of historical value and the beauty of a uniquely Japanese style.
There are also abundant sightseeing spots where visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature, such as Fukuroda Falls, selected as one of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan, Ishihama Beach, and Oarai Isomae Shrine, a power spot with a spectacular view.
Facing the Pacific Ocean, fresh seafood is also abundant.
Recently, the nemophila at the National Hitachi Seaside Park Miharashi no Oka has become popular as a spectacular photo spot.
